12th to 21st June 2009
Welcome to this web site promoting a programme of events to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the opening of Park Road Gardens in Grange-over-Sands.
Park Road Gardens is a very special small park in the centre of the town - beautifully landscaped to create a real haven of peace with its centre-piece bandstand and views out over Morecambe Bay. The high standard to which the Gardens are maintained was recognised by a Green Flag Award in 2007 and 2008. We are hoping for a repeat of this award in 2009.
Grange is a small town on the northern shore of Morecambe Bay which was developed in the Victorian and Edwardian eras into a small resort nestling below the limestone hill of Hampsfell.
